As Alberta marks the one-year anniversary of the devastating Fort McMurray wildfire, the Press Gallery takes a look at what it means for the province. Join host Emma Graney with guests Stuart Thomson, Janet French and Graham Thomson to talk about the fire nicknamed The Beast, as well as Agriculture Finance Services Corporation (AFSC), a Crown rising from the ashes after its board and top executives were shown the door last June. The team also takes a look at a tentative agreement between the province and teachers, signed this week. Good stuff from the gallery Stuart's pick: This Washington Post piece called Everyone Tunes In, about Trump's obsession with cable television. Janet's pick: Baltimore Sun's story Bridging The Divide, about the struggle to move past segregated schools in the U.S. Emma's pick: This incredibly moving piece in the Saskatoon StarPhoenix, written by reporter Betty Ann Adam, about her personal journey to find her family after being removed from her mom as part of the Sixties Scoop. Graham's pick: The podcast War College by Reuters, which this week takes a closer look at the US v. North Korea issue.
