The Press Gallery: Inside Alberta politics

Oct 29, 2015

With oil prices bogged down below $50, everybody’s a little scared about Alberta’s prospects. Premier Rachel Notley’s NDP government released their long awaited budget on Tuesday, leading to howls and screams over a $6.1 billion deficit and ongoing deficit spending. This week on The Press Gallery, Edmonton Journal’s politics podcast, city columnist Paula Simons, provincial affairs columnist Graham Thomson and reporter and editorial writer Dan Barnes join host Brent Wittmeier in a studio lockup. They also discuss a proposal for toll roads hinted at by economist David Dodge. Good Stuff from the Gallery, a weekly segment, concludes the show.
