The Press Gallery: Inside Alberta politics

Mar 6, 2016

The new legislature session kicks off this Tuesday with a speech from the throne to lay out the government's priorities amid a climate of economic doom and gloom. Meanwhile, candidates in Calgary-Greenway are gearing up for the byelection on March 22. The race has already been punctuated by cries of electioneering from the Wildrose opposition. Premier Rachel Notley was in Vancouver last week to talk about climate change with her counterparts and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and to nobody's surprise, pipelines entered the discussions. The show starts with a look back the career of former Alberta premier Don Getty, who died in Edmonton earlier this month at the age of 82. Join host Mariam Ibrahim as she and panellists Graham Thomson and Keith Gerein help you keep your finger on Alberta's political pulse. The show wraps up with the usual Good Stuff recommendations.
