The Press Gallery: Inside Alberta politics

Feb 12, 2016

Alberta's Catholic bishops are making headlines again this week with a strongly worded statement denouncing pending right to die legislation, saying it amounts to "state-sponsored killing." Auditor General Merwan Saher had some criticism for the government in his February report that investigated several government departments, finding — of all things — piles of surplus funds the province seems to have no plans for. And finally, our province's on-again, off-again relationship with British Columbia is off again after our neighbour to the west had some strong words of its own for Alberta in its throne speech. Panellists Keith Gerein, Paula Simons and Graham Thomson join host Mariam Ibrahim to discuss the week that was in Alberta politics. The episode wraps up with the usual Good Stuff from the Gallery.
